But he is not planning to stop there as he came up with yet another new venture. This new company called Neuralink will focus on the integration of human brain with the computer. This may seem like straight out of the episode of the Black mirror, the sci-fi series that takes a negative perspective on technology.
When was it Announced?
Being hinted since few months, Elon Musk teased about the new venture through twitter. According to reports, its goal is to explore technology to create a synergy between human brain and computers.
It wants to create devices that work alongside brain for next-level operation and achieving a biological and digital connection. It was already registered in California in form of a medical research company. Word is Elon Musk already hired professionals for the company.
Meet the inspiration, Neural Lace. The newest creation by scientists, Neural Lace can be a key equipment for this purpose. The material is a mesh-like structure that can grow with the brain. This will allow to map the brain and analyze data as needed.
This ultra-mesh is already tested on mice and the results seemed positive. The brain cells grew along with the mesh. For now, tests are being done using wire and in future will go wireless. This whole brain-wire is pretty much like a sci-fi movie. That being said, it may have played a minor or major role in Elon Musk's newest creation.
What Made Elon Musk To Take This Move?
AI is developing without leaps and bounds daily. This is being a huge concern for many and Elon Musk is one of them. This visionary believes that AI may soon surpass mankind and pose a greater risk to humanity, His solution? Human Super Intelligence.
